Decision Canvas

Turn a rough idea into a problem statement you can act on.

Planned — structured and scoped, not built yet.

The problem

A lot of product work starts as a sentence in a meeting. Between that sentence and a plan there is a gap that usually gets filled with a document nobody rereads. The structure — who has the problem, what we are assuming, what is in and out, how we would know it worked — is the same every time, but it gets rebuilt from scratch.

What the first version will explore

The first version will walk a rough idea through four prompts — the problem and who has it, the assumptions it rests on, the scope in and out, and the success measures — and produce a short, shareable brief. The constraint is what makes it useful: each field has a length limit and a "so what?" check, so it stays a decision aid, not another blank document.
